Blanton’s Gold Edition is a limited-release bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery and is one of three Blanton’s expressions available in the United States. It is distilled from Buffalo Trace’s Mashbill #2, which has a higher rye content than the distillery’s standard ryed bourbon mashbill.
Bottled at 103 proof, it is a higher-proof version of the standard Blanton’s Single Barrel, which is bottled at 93 proof. It was an export-only release until Summer 2020, when it was added as an annual limited release within the United States.
