Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon

Blanton’s Bourbon is a bourbon whiskey produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery and was introduced in 1984 as the world’s first single barrel bourbon. It is bottled at 93 proof.

Blanton’s Bourbon is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who was a former president of the distillery and played a significant role in its history.

Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, rather than a blend of multiple barrels, resulting in a unique flavor profile for each release. The barrels used for Blanton’s are hand-selected and aged in Warehouse H, which is known for its optimal aging conditions.

Marketing

Blanton’s is known for its whiskey as well as its distinctive bottle design and stoppers. The cork stoppers consist of eight collectible statuettes that depict a jockey and galloping horse in different parts of its stride, and each is labeled with a letter that spells out B-L-A-N-T-O-N’-S.

In a six-bottle case, half of the bottles are packaged in a box and felt bag embroidered with the Blanton’s logo.
