Blue Run Spirits was founded in 2019 and specializes in producing premium, small-batch bourbon whiskeys. They work closely with renowned master distillers, such as Jim Rutledge, and select distilleries to create their unique expressions.
In 2022, Shaylyn Gammon was named Blue Run’s Whiskey Director. She came to Blue Run from Wild Turkey, where she worked on projects such as Master’s Keep, Rare Breed, Russell’s Reserve and Longbranch1Wild Turkey veteran named as whiskey director for Blue Run Spirits.
In March 2023, Blue Run announced plans to build a 35,000-square-foot distillery in Georgetown, Kentucky. It is projected to open in 20252Blue Run Spirits Reveals First Look at Georgetown, Kentucky Whiskey Distillery.
Their products are currently bottled at Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, KY.
On August 8, 2023, Molson Coors announced that they had reached an agreement to purchase Blue Run Spirits and establishing Coors Spirits Co., led by Blue Run CEO Mike Montgomery.3Press Release
