Lux Row Four Grain Double Single Barrel Bourbon is a limited release bourbon from Lux Row Distillers. It is bottled at 115 proof and is aged for four years.
As the name suggests, it is a blend of two single barrel bourbons distilled from both of Lux Row’s mashbills. One barrel in the blend uses the wheated mashbill (68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley), while the other uses the ryed mashbill (78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley).
This release was inspired by the popularity of the distillery-exclusive Lux Row 12 Year Double Barrel Bourbon, which is also a double single barrel blend. The label features the barrel numbers and fill date for both blend components.
Lux Row’s wheated mashbill is featured in its Rebel and David Nicholson Reserve products, while the ryed bourbon recipe is used for Ezra Brooks and David Nicholson 1843.
