Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select is a single barrel, Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel’s. It is bottled at 94 proof and aged approximately 4-7 years.

The barrels used for Single Barrel Select are pulled from the upper levels of their warehouses, where temperatures are highest and the most water is lost to evaporation. These chosen barrels are then bottled at 94 proof.

Single Barrel Select was first introduced in 1997, and was the lone single barrel offering in the distillery’s year-round lineup until a barrel proof expression was added in 2015.

Private Selection

Jack Daniel’s has been offering “By the Barrel” selections of Single Barrel Select since 1998. In 2016, Jack Daniel’s introduced their revamped Personal Collection program, making barrels available to purchase for anyone, with prices starting at $10,000 per barrel. Barrels from the top floors of the distillery’s warehouses are used for the program.1Press Release
