Hardin’s Creek Jacob’s Well is an extra-aged bourbon produced by James B. Beam Distilling Co. as part of the Hardin’s Creek brand family.
Jacob’s Well pays tribute to the well that Jacob Beam built as the first water source for the family’s first bourbon. Jacob’s Well is a blend of a 16-year-old traditional bourbon (75% corn, 13% rye, 12% malted barley, the same as used in Jim Beam, Knob Creek, and Booker’s releases, among others) and a 15-year-old high-rye bourbon (63% corn, 27% rye, 10% malted barley, used by Basil Hayden and Old Grand Dad). These two bourbons were originally distilled by Freddie Noe, then these barrels were hand-selected by him a decade and a half later.
Specifying months on the label is a callback to the original Jacob’s Well bottling, which was labeled as an 84-month old bourbon.
