Old Grand-Dad

Old Grand Dad was first produced starting in the 1880s by Raymond B. Hayden, who named the brand after his grandfather, Basil Hayden Sr. Although that name is used on another of Beam’s brands, Basil Hayden, Sr.’s portrait is on Old Grand Dad.

The Old Grand Dad brand is made up of several bourbons that each use a high-rye mash bill (as favored by Basil Hayden, Sr.), the same recipe used by bourbons in the Basil Hayden line.
