Four Roses famously has two different mash bills and five different yeast strains, for a total of ten different recipes.
Four Roses Small Batch is made up of four of those 10 recipes: OBSK, OESK, OBSO, and OESO.
Each batch is made up of around 250 barrels of varying age and different proportions of each recipe. These batches are tested and tasted to ensure a consistent flavor profile.
This bourbon fits in Four Roses’ lineup just above the yellow label, and below their Small Batch Select and Single Barrel offerings.
