Four Roses Single Barrel Barrel Strength

Four Roses Distillery produces two different bourbon mashbills and produces each with one of five different yeast strains, for a total of 10 different recipes. While most Four Roses releases incorporate a specific blend of selected recipes, each Single Barrel Barrel Strength release is made from a single recipe, selected and bottled at barrel strength.

Four Roses Single Barrel Barrel Strength releases are available exclusively as private selections available to retailers, bars, and restaurants. They also feature a side label that provides more information about each bottling, including age and mashbill.

Age varies for each barrel selected, and can be anywhere from 7 years to 18 years1Sotheby’s or more.

The standard Four Roses Single Barrel release is always bottled at 100 proof, and always uses the OBSV recipe.
