Elijah Craig 18-Year-Old Single Barrel is the second-oldest release in the Elijah Craig lineup, after the 23-Year-Old Single Barrel. It’s one of the highest age statements currently available on a regular release.
It uses the same mash bill as all other Elijah Craig bourbon releases, and comes in at a slightly-lower 90 proof than the standard release’s 94 proof.
This 18-year-old release first hit shelves in 1994, and had a successful run until 2012, when Heaven Hill’s stocks began to run low. The brand took a three-year hiatus and returned in Fall 2015.
