Baker’s Bourbon is a single barrel release produced by James B. Beam Distilling Co., and is the flagship product of the Baker’s brand.
In 2019, Beam relaunched Baker’s as a single-barrel release, replacing the existing Baker’s Bourbon, a blended small-batch release.
Baker’s is named for Baker Beam, the grand-nephew of Jim Beam and now-retired 6th Generation Beam Family Distiller. Baker Beam worked at the Jim Beam Distillery for 38 years, eventually landing the role of distiller at the Clermont, KY plant.
Beam helpfully includes the date barreled, serial number, warehouse and exact age on each bottle’s neck label. Bottles are aged for a minimum of 7 years, and you may find releases that are up to approximately 9 years old.
