Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Rye is rye whiskey from Angel’s Envy released in December 2023.
Released alongside the annual edition of Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon, the two expressions are the first releases from Master Distiller Owen Martin, who joined Angel’s Envy in Fall 2022.
While the standard edition of Angel’s Envy Rye is finished in rum barrels and bottled at 100 proof, this release is a blend of ryes with two different barrel finishes:
- MGP rye finished for three years in Sauternes dessert wine barrels
- MGP rye finished in new toasted oak barrels
The 2023 Cask Strength Rye is an edition of only 5,500 bottles.
