A Midwinter Night’s Dram is an annual limited release rye whiskey from High West. Introduced in 2013, it is based on High West’s Rendezvous Rye, which is then finished in ruby and tawny port casks for an undisclosed period of time.
For Acts 1-6, the base blend of Rendezvous Rye was made up of different rye whiskeys sourced from MGP. As of Act 7 (2019), A Midwinter Night’s dram contains an undisclosed amount of High West’s own distillate rather than being a blend of MGP-sourced ryes.
In 2022, Act 10 was released alongside The Encore, a version of A Midwinter Night’s Dram that is instead finished in white port barrels. The series continued in 2023 with Act 11, the largest release in the series to date, consisting of 189,684 bottles.2The Spirits Business – High West expands A Midwinter Night’s Dram
