WhistlePig Small Batch Rye Aged 10 Years is the flagship rye whiskey produced by WhistlePig. It is a small batch whiskey and is bottled at 100 proof.
For this release, WhistlePig sources 100% rye whiskey from Alberta Distillers in Canada, as they have since the company’s inception. The 10-year rye was the company’s first release, and has been in the permanent lineup since 2010.
Unlike the 12- and 15-year expressions, this 10-year doesn’t undergo any barrel finishing.
Private Selection
WhistlePig also provides private barrel selections for their 10-year rye. The front label is slightly different, specifying “Single Barrel Rye” rather than “Small Batch Rye” and bearing a selection sticker on the bottle’s shoulder. Additionally, the whiskey is bottled at barrel proof, with alcohol content up to 115 proof or more.
