Not to be confused with Jack Daniel’s Twice Barreled Special Release American Single Malt, a special release single malt whiskey from Jack Daniel's released in 2022. Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt is currently exclusive to travel retail shops.
Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt is a travel retail-exclusive whiskey from Jack Daniel’s. It was released in June 2023 in 1-liter bottles. It is the distillery’s first permanent expression using a single-malt recipe.
It is made from a mashbill of 100% malted barley that is distilled and passed through Jack Daniel’s traditional charcoal mellowing process. It is then aged for at least 4 years before being finished for 2 years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks from the Antonio Paez Lobato Cooperage. It is bottled at 90 proof.
It follows the release of Jack Daniel’s Twice Barreled Special Release American Single Malt, which hit shelves in Fall 2022. The special release was bottled in a 700ml bottle at cask strength, which ranged from 106.1 to 107.8 proof.
The distillery also offers several other duty-free store exclusive whiskeys, including their 1-liter Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whiskey and 700ml 100 proof Single Barrel.
