* Note: This article uses information from the U.S. Department of the Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). Whiskey labels are approved by the TTB weeks or months ahead of their release and public announcement, so details about pricing and availability aren’t available yet. Furthermore, any proof statements on the label may be placeholders and might change before the official release announcement. However, everything else on the label will appear as it does here, so this gives us a great early look at an upcoming release.

Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Sonoma Triple Finish is an upcoming limited release from Woodford Reserve and will be the 19th entry in the Master’s Collection series.

Like nearly all other releases from Woodford Reserve, it will be bottled at 90.4 proof. It is likely to feature the brand’s flagship bourbon recipe, and finishes the whiskey in wine and brandy barrels from Sonoma.

The release is similar to 2014’s Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection: Sonoma-Cutrer Pinot Noir Finish, which used 7-year old Woodford Reserve bourbon and finished it for 10 months in French oak pinot noir barrels. Because Woodford Reserve’s parent company Brown-Forman also owns Sonoma-Cutrer, it is likely that we’ll see the two collaborate in part on this release as well.

A nationwide release is expected in Winter 2023/2024.
