Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Sonoma Triple Finish

Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Sonoma Triple Finish is a limited release from Woodford Reserve and the 19th entry in the Master’s Collection series and was released in Fall 2023.

Like nearly all other releases from Woodford Reserve, it is bottled at 90.4 proof. It is features the brand’s flagship bourbon recipe, and finishes the whiskey in Sonoma wine, brandy and former former Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels used to age red wine.

“The result is a whisky that brings together the worlds of bourbon and wine in a way unlike any we’ve released before.”
– Elizabeth McCall, Woodford Reserve Master Distiller

The release is similar to 2014’s Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection: Sonoma-Cutrer Pinot Noir Finish, which used 7-year old Woodford Reserve bourbon and finished it for 10 months in French oak pinot noir barrels. In 2016, the distillery released Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection: Brandy Cask Finish, the first bourbon to be finished in American brandy casks. Around the same time, Woodford Reserve began supplying used bourbon barrels to wineries and created a new bourbon-barrel aged red wine category.
