WhistlePig SummerStock Whiskey is a blend of wheat and rye whiskeys, finished in a toasted barrel.
Produced by WhistlePig in partnership with Pit Viper, a lifestyle sunglasses brand, SummerStock follows 2022’s SmokeStock (a collaboration with Traeger Grills) and 2021’s RoadStock (a collaboration with Firestone Walker Brewing).
The whiskey is a blend of WhistlePig-distilled rye whiskey, Alberta Distillers rye whiskey, and Alberta Distillers wheat whiskey. The blend is then finished in toasted barrels, some which were toasted by the sun. “Think magnifying glass, but on a slightly larger scale,” said distiller Mitch Mahar.1Robb Report
As of 2023, WhistlePig’s Vermont farm and distillery are 100% solar powered, and SummerStock’s release serves as a celebration of that achievement.
