W.L. Weller Single Barrel is a wheated bourbon produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is part of the W.L. Weller brand family. It was introduced in June 2020, and is released annually by the distillery. It followed the addition of W.L. Weller Full Proof in 2019.
While this 97-proof offering is the only single barrel expression in the brand’s regular lineup, several other Weller releases are available through Buffalo Trace’s private selection program, allowing individuals to taste the distillery’s wheated mashbill in single-barrel form at a variety of strengths. W.L. Weller Special Reserve, W.L. Weller Antique 107, and W.L. Weller Full Proof are all available as a part of Sazerac Barrel Select.
William Larue Weller is often credited as the first distiller to use wheat as the secondary grain in a bourbon mash bill, as all products in the Weller line continue to use to this day.

Reviews
With the Weller brand known for its quality (especially in its 12 Year and Full Proof form), one would expect a single barrel version to perform equally well, but this single barrel proves that isn’t always the case.
