W.L. Weller C.Y.P.B. is a wheated bourbon produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery and is released annually in limited quantities.

C.Y.P.B. stands for “Craft Your Perfect Bourbon,” and is a reference to a promotional website that Buffalo Trace launched in 2015. The “Craft Your Perfect Bourbon” website was meant to educate guests on bourbon production, highlighting the mash bill recipe, maturation, and proofing. Through the process, Buffalo Trace collected the information from over 100,000 visitors, and found that:

The overwhelming number of them chose a wheated bourbon recipe aged for eight years. Most chose for their barrel to mature on the top floor of the bourbon warehouse and ultimately be bottled at somewhere between 90-99 proof.

As a result, W.L. Weller C.Y.P.B. was developed. Like the rest of the Weller family, it uses a wheated mashbill, and this expression is aged for 8 years, aged on the top floors of the warehouse, and bottled at 95 proof.
