Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Blend

Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Blend is a limited release bourbon distilled by James B. Beam Distilling Co. and finished in collaboration with The House of Suntory.

It was distilled by Beam and aged in Kentucky for 8 years, and was then sent to the outskirts of Kyoto, Japan for finishing and blending in its distinct warm and humid climate. The blend features three different finishes:

  • French Oak wine casks
  • Spanish Oak sherry casks
  • former Spanish Oak Casks used to age The House of Suntory’s flagship Yamazaki Single Malt Japanese Whisky

It was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Suntory Whiskey and the founding of Yamazaki Distillery.

The standard release of Legent Bourbon hit shelves in 2019 and was the first project launched by Fred Noe, which was blended with the help of Shinji Fukuyo, Chief Blender of Suntory Whisky. It is a Kentucky bourbon aged in wine and sherry casks, then blended with additional bourbon for balance.
