Hardin’s Creek Kentucky Series Clermont is a 17-year old bourbon produced by James B. Beam Distilling Co. as part of the Hardin’s Creek brand family. Each was distilled at the company’s main campus in Clermont, KY, making this the only expression in the series to be distilled and aged at the same Beam facility.
The Hardin’s Creek Kentucky Series is made up of three bourbons that are meant to be an exploration of “Kentucky terroir,” highlighting how different landscapes have influenced the flavor characteristics of each whiskey.
Within The Kentucky Series, all three expressions are 17-year-old Bourbons that have been aged at one of three campuses of the James B. Beam Distilling Company: Clermont, Frankfort, and Boston. Although they share the same mashbill and age, the bourbons were aged at different locations within the campuses.
The nuanced terroir and microclimates shaped by the rigid and rolling hills, the cool wind against the shelter of the valleys, and the pockets of rack houses placed close together, are aglow year-round beneath the strong Kentucky sunlight, making the unique contours of Clermont discernable in every pour.
