George T. Stagg is a 15-year old, barrel proof bourbon produced by Buffalo Trace as part of their Antique Collection and Stagg brand families. It is always bottled uncut and unfiltered, and generally represents one of the highest-proof Buffalo Trace Antique Collection expressions each year.
George T. Stagg shares the same bourbon recipe as Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, E. H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch, and several other bourbons from the distillery.
After his service as a captain in the Civil War, George T. Stagg sold whiskey made by O.F.C. Distillery, founded by E.H. Taylor, Jr.
Stagg later purchased O.F.C. and together the two formed E.H. Taylor, Jr. & Co. and built one of the most important distilleries of the 19th century. After Taylor and Stagg parted ways, the distillery was again renamed the George T. Stagg Distillery, which we now know as Buffalo Trace.
