George Dickel Bottled in Bond

George Dickel Bottled in Bond is an annually-released Tennessee whiskey produced by the George Dickel Distillery, located in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

First released in May 2019, it was the first new product launched under General Manager and Distiller Nicole Austin, who joined the company in 2018. In December 2019, the first release was named Whisky Advocate’s 2019 Whisky of the Year.1Press Release

Age statements are not featured prominently on the bottle’s label – however, along the left side of the front label, each release specifies the distilling season when the whiskey was released – the first release was labeled Fall 2005, for example.

George Dickel Bottled in Bond adheres to the regulations set forth in the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. This act establishes specific requirements for labeling and production, including being aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, being distilled during a single distillation season by one distiller at one distillery, and being bottled at 100 proof (50% alcohol by volume).
