All Burnside whiskies are produced in Portland, OR and finished with Oregon White Oak (Quercus garryana) casks.
Acording to Eastside Distilling, Quercus garryana “is almost sponge like from the fast growing it does in the wet Oregon winters. Not only does it soak up the whiskey and deeply flavor it, it has high contents of dessert tannins that are perfectly complementary to bourbon, whiskey and ryes, while also imparting the terroir of the fertile valley soils.”
