Blue Run 14-Year-Old Small Batch Bourbon was the third release from Blue Run. It was released in July 2021.
The whiskey was approved by Jim Rutledge, the company’s “liquid advisor,” who helped pick the barrels for this sourced bourbon.
This 14-year old bourbon is the last sourced bourbon released by Blue Run; all subsequent releases have been contract distilled to Blue Run’s specifications by Castle & Key or Bardstown Bourbon Company.
Reserve release
In addition to the standard release, a “Reserve” bottling was made available through Blue Run’s online store for $250. It has the same 14-year age statement and is bottled at the same 113 proof. According to Blue Run, the reserve bottling had more pronounced flavors.
