Founded in Park City, UT, High West is Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870. The distillery was founded in 2006 and began by sourcing and blending whiskeys from a variety of sources, most prominently from MGP. Their whiskeys are now distributed to all 50 states and internationally.
Distilling began on a 250 gallon still in 2007, and in 2009, the company opened a saloon in their historic livery stable known as “The National Garage.” The saloon is located at the bottom of the Quit N’ Time ski run, making it the world’s first ski-in gastro-distillery.
In 2015, High West opened a larger production distillery in Wanship, UT, which features a bar and restaurant, gift shop, and a much larger, 1,600 gallon still.
