Barrell Seagrass is an ongoing release from Barrell Craft Spirits, first introduced in March 2021. Seagrass is a unique whiskey blend consisting of American and Canadian rye whiskeys.
The whiskey is finished in Martinique Rhum Agricole casks, apricot brandy casks, and Madeira barrels, with each component whiskey brings distinct characteristics to Seagrass. This blend offers a complex flavor profile that showcases a variety of influences.
Founder Joe Beatrice describes Seagrass as a whiskey that combines grassy coastal notes found in rye with the richness and spice imparted by the finishing barrels. As with all Barrell releases, it is bottled at cask strength.
