Not to be confused with WhistlePig FarmStock Rye, annual blends created from 2017-2019.
WhistlePig HomeStock Whiskey is a blended whiskey that hit shelves in May of 2020 during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Released in partnership with Flaviar, blending kits were sent to members and industry professionals and a live-streamed blending session took place with WhistlePig Master Blender Pete Lynch on April 27.
The front label says that it is “Crop 004,” a nod to the earlier FarmStock series that were released annually from 2017-2019. FarmStock’s blends were created during in-person sessions across the country with Lynch, which became impossible at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the front label of HomeStock reads, “Blended Together While Apart.”
Homestock Whiskey is the first wheated whiskey and first release from WhistlePig to use a grain other than rye.
