Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series Stave Profile RC6 was Maker’s Mark’s very first nationally-distributed limited release, and was made up of a 255-barrel batch. It is the inaugural release in the distillery’s Wood Finishing Series.
This release builds on the stave-finishing technique started with Maker’s 46. Ten toasted American oak staves were added to fully-mature cask-strength Maker’s Mark barrels, where they rested for an undisclosed period of time.
Stave Profile RC6 is made from American Oak that has first been exposed to the outdoors, or “seasoned,” for an extended 18 months before being toasted in a convection oven.
