High West Bourbon is the flagship bourbon produced by High West. It is a blend of sourced whiskeys.
As of 2023, the blend consists of whiskeys aged 2-13 years:
- 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% barley malt from MGP
- 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley from Cascade Hollow/Dickel
- Other whiskey components sourced from other distilleries
In 2022, High West renamed their bourbon from American Prairie Bourbon to simply High West Bourbon. According to the distillery, there was some confusion that American Prairie Bourbon was a type of bourbon rather than the brand’s name, so this change is meant to help reduce that confusion.

High West Bourbon continues the distillery’s storied history of blending whiskey of different ages and mashbills, though the times have changed, the bourbon struggles to keep up.
