Willett Wheated 8 Year Bourbon is a bourbon produced by Willett and was first released in 2022.
According to Willett, it uses a proprietary mashbill, although the distillery doesn’t specify any details. The first release of this whiskey was distilled by Willett in the spring of 2013, which would have been shortly after Willett began distilling again in 2012.
This release was the first to use the Willett brand name but to stray from the tall, clear Willett Family Estate bottles that have become extremely well regarded in enthusiast communities. It retains Willett’s famous purple foil top used to indicate their bourbon products, but the rest of the packaging was a new look from the distillery.
