Lux Row's Rebel Bourbon adds Rebel Reserve, a 12-year-old wheated single barrel
Carrying an impressive age statement and high proof, Lux Row's upcoming Rebel Reserve should be an exciting addition to the Rebel Bourbon lineup.
Rebel Reserve hits shelves as a 12-year-old single barrel release, bottled at barrel proof. Strength will vary depending on which barrel each bottle came from.
It is widely assumed that these older Rebel Bourbon bottlings are sourced from Heaven Hill, using the same mash bill as Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond (100 proof), Larceny (92 proof) and Larceny Barrel Proof. Rebel's younger bourbons are now produced in-house by Lux Row Distillers.
Recently, Lux Row began transitioning away from the brand's "Rebel Yell" label that dates back to the mid 1900s, moving toward an updated "Rebel Bourbon" label. This is the second single barrel offering in Rebel's lineup, joining the existing 100-proof Rebel 10-Year Single Barrel Bourbon.
