Garrison Brothers announces 2020 release of limited edition barrel-proof Cowboy Bourbon
Texas' Garrison Brothers has announced the release of their annual Cowboy Bourbon limited release, a highly-sought after, extra-aged cask strength bourbon drawn from the best barrels in their warehouse.
This year's release is an unfiltered, cask-strength bourbon bottled at 133.9 proof. It's described by founder Dan Garrison as:
Deceptive aroma of firewater, firewood, and freshly cut cedar. Clears sinuses instantly. Unexpected sweet flavors of caramel candy, toasted figs, scorched molasses, toasted honey, plum jelly, creamy coffee liqueur, sugary cinnamon apple pie sugar, and crust.
Cowboy Bourbon was named "American Micro Whiskey of the Year" in Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible in 2014 and 2017.
1,000 bottles will be available on Saturday, September 26 at Garrison Brothers' distillery in Hye, TX, about an hour west of Austin.
