Four Roses introduces 2021 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon, the highest-proof blend yet
Four Roses Distillery has unveiled the details of their 2021 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon.
Released annually, Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch is a unique blend of several of Four Roses' ten distinct recipes. This year's edition is a blend of bourbons from four of those recipes:
- OBSV (high rye, delicate fruit and rye): 16 years old
- OBSQ (high rye, rye and light floral character): 14 years old
- OESK (low rye, baking spice ): 12 years old
- OESV (low rye, delicate fruit and caramel): 16 years old
These four bourbons are blended, non-chill filtered, and bottled at barrel strength, 114.2 proof. “This year’s release brings a proof higher than any of the past Limited Editions, creating robust complexity and layers of flavors resulting from the variety of constituent batches and recipes,” said Master Distiller Brent Elliott.
This sought-after release will start hitting shelves at the end of September for a suggested price of $150. Four Roses is also offering a public lottery to purchase the bottle, which will be open today through September 12 on the Four Roses website. Bottles must be picked up from the distillery between September 18-30.
